Scholarship Facilitation Center started in Lucknow

Lucknow (30 June 2012): Scholarship Facilitation Center — a free service dedicated to all the needy and deserving students who wish to apply for Government Scholarships, has been started in Lucknow.

This year - just for State of U.P., over Rs.100 crores is earmarked for scholarships to all the deserving students who apply.  But lots of parent and students worry and say that even though they applied for scholarships, they did not receive any funds or some just blame the system that the Babus in the Minority Department demanded "suvidha shulk" or bribe amount to process the scholarship.

The following services would be provided by this Center:
1. Assisting student in filling out necessary scholarship forms (for those who don't have access to the Internet).
2. Guiding them in getting:
a. Income Certificate (or self declared/affidavit)
b. Bank account in the name of Student or Joint account with parents
c. Speaking with School/Colleges - whose name does not appears on the Government Scholarship Programs, and convincing them to be part of this program.

3. Helping them in submitting filled forms to the Government Agencies.

4. Follow-up with the proper authority - regarding processing of forms, and making sure Students are not harassed.

Center Location:  Scholarship Facilitation Center, Opp: Police Chowki, Purania Chauraha, Aliganj, Lucknow - 226024; Helpline Number: 9151403727; Working Hours : Mon - Saturday  (10 AM - 6 PM)
