Azamgarh boy acquitted by Delhi Court

Azamgarh, 5 February: Dr. Javed Akhtar, President of Association for Welfare, Medical, Educational and Legal Assistance (AWMELA) issued the following press release in a press conference attended by local print and electronic media:

"Today in the hearing for framing of charges against Batla House accused in Tees Hazari Court, Delhi, honourable court has acquitted Salman son of Shakil resident of village Sanjarpur, Azamgarh. This day inhabitants of Azamgarh deserve congratulation as they were deliberately being defamed. We have faith in the judiciary and believe that we will get justice from our courts, though we may face problems. In the coming days hearings for other accused will also take place. Salman has no production warrant from other states and hence we are sure that he will be acquitted honourably from other states also."
