Mumbai: Mono Ali Mansab Ghausi, an accused in the 1992-93 Bombay communal riots, was set free on 25 August this year following his re-arrest last July for violation of bail conditions. He was accused of failing to attend court on his case dates while on bail. His case was taken up by lawyers appointed by Jamiat Ulama-e Islam (Arshad group) who argued that there is no case against Ghausi. The court accepted their arguments and set him free honourably.
