Academic Excellence awards presented

Patna: Human Welfare Foundation, New Delhi, and P.M. Foundation Kerala, presented Academic Excellence Awards to 435 Muslim students in a programme organised at Shri Krishan Memorial Hall, Patna on 19 December. Cash reward of Rs 1000, citation and medal to each were given. In addition, three other students Anupam Neha, Khushbu Kumari and Rahul Kumar were also felicitated with cash rewards, citation and shields. Under Vision 2016, four states of the country were chosen for 1643 awards to attract the students and their guardians towards higher education. Accordingly, students obtaining more than 60 percent marks in board examinations were enlisted for such awards. The chief guest of the programme, Justice Nayar Hasan of Patna High Court, applauded the efforts of the Foundation and encouraged the students and their guardians. He stressed the importance of education in bringing about change in the society. General Secretary of the Foundation, K.A. Siddique Hasan, apprised that they intend to help the under privileged and deprived Muslim students under their vision 2016 programme. Among the prominent dignitaries present on the occasion were Janta Dal (U) MP Shivanand Tewari, ADGP Abhayanandji, former VC of Patna University Alauddin MN Karan, Dr. Ahsan VC Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic Persian Uni. and others.
