UP Madrasa Board recognises one hundred new madrasas

Lucknow: A responsible officer of Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Board said here on 22 December that the Board has approved one hundred new madrasas. With this, the number of madrasas affiliated to the UP Madrasa Board has gone up to 1700. He said that in these madrasas, boy and girl students will be taught, alongwith religious education, English, computer and Hindi. Admission in these new madrasas will start from the next academic session 2011-12. Out of the total number of madrasas affiliated to Madrasa Board, government assistance is provided to 499 madrasas.
