Christ’s birth celebration at India Islamic Cultural Centre

New Delhi: Christmas or the birthday of Jesus Christ was celebrated in India Islamic Cultural Centre (IICC) on 25 December. Speaking on this occasion IICC’s Chairman, Sirajuddin Qureshi, said while welcoming the audience that Jesus Christ did the same thing for the service to humanity as was the mission of all the prophets and messengers of God before him.

Allah’s last heavenly Book the Qur’an and His last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) also have told their followers about Jesus Christ in details and the faith of a Muslim cannot be complete as long as he does not have faith in Jesus Christ and all other prophets and messengers of God.

IICC’s Vice-Chairman Safdar H. Khan, said that we need to popularise Christ’s message to humanity and also to follow it. Special guest at this function Father (Dr) M.D. Thomas and honoured guest Father Samuel said while speaking on this occasion that India Islamic Cultural Centre by holding Christmas Day function has shown us the right path for which Indian nation, particularly Christians should be thankful. Lauding Sirajuddin Quraishi’s efforts for promoting national harmony and unity he described him as a great asset of India.

IICC’s secretary, Wasi Ahmad No’mani, said that according to the Qur’an, Jesus Christ’s mission was the same as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had brought, with the difference that the last Prophet of God had brought this mission to fruition. Now for the entire humanity the most authoritative book for guidance till eternity is Allah’s Qur’an.
