Congress demands immediate action on Liberhan

New Delhi: Congress Party has made an appeal to central government to take necessary action as possible on the recommendations of Justice Liberhan Commission which was set up by central government soon after the demolition of Babri Masjid. It was stated in the political resolution passed in the recent 83rd session of Congress Party that Allahabad High Court’s Lucknow Bench verdict of 30 September does not exonerate destroyers of Babri Masjid. Describing it (the demolition) as a shameful and criminal act, the resolution said that the persons guilty of demolition must be punished. The resolution further said that after a long wait the Liberhan Commission’s report has been submitted to government and it should take early action on this.
