Muslims face persecution in Congress regime

Jaipur: Over half-a-dozen human rights and minorities organisations indicted Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government of shielding culprits of communal violence. Alleging that houses and shops owned by Muslims were set on fire in the presence of the Collector and that S.P. and Congressmen arranged bail of persons indulging in arson. Leaders of nine organisations working under Rajasthan Sadbhav Manch said that minorities feel unsafe as they suffered huge losses in three incidents at Sarda (Udaipur), Balesar (Jodhpur) and Manoharpur thana (Jhalawar). Led by Sawai Singh, a Gandhian, these activists fear that Rajasthan is turning into a Gujarat in the absence of any action against the rioters. These allegations were made before a jury comprising among others Swami Agnivesh and Asghar Ali Engineer.
