Islamic Convention: Qur’anic message lead to science

Rampur: An Islamic convention was organised at the Shehnai mandap on Shaukat Ali Road to apprise people about the message of the Qur’an and how to locate them while pursuing studies in science. Presided by Maulana Sulaiman Khan Qasimi, author of Dars-e-Qur’an, the convention attracted several scholars of repute. Dr. Aslam Parvez, Principal Dr. Zakir Husain College, drew the attention of the audience that science, as such, is not a mere topic for study but an organisation of knowledge which enables people to pursue more and more the intricacies of knowledge. He told that those who do nothing for the Muslims have no share in the faith. Muslim is one who bows his head before Allah (in humility and gratitude) because every particle on earth does so.

Dr. Javed Jamil of Mahavir Hospital, Saharanpur enumerated the corrupting influence of western civilisation on human psyche. Doors for evil remain open all the time. This is what has made us recognise values of human rights as humanity has taken a downward plunge. Allah has created us exclusively for His ibadat. There is only one nation (group) which invites us towards good and dissuades from evil. A man must carryout and convey Allah’s message. We must realise His rights on us whereas we are totally lost in pursuing our own interests. In his presidential address Maulana Qasimi reminded that the innumerable stars in various galaxies do not deviate from their prescribed path (orbit). Only human beings deviate and get astray. Qur’an has been revealed for human guidance. Allah has appointed man His Khalifa on earth and declared him Best of Creation (ashraful makhluqat). Hence it is imperative on him to faithfully discharge the responsibility he has been enjoined to do.
