BJP headquarters carry out temple demolition

New Delhi: An organisation which protests vehemently on the possibility of demolishing or attempt to damage a temple allowed demolition of a temple at its own headquarters to make available adequate space for its media hall. Persons residing in the headquarters corridor used to pray and worship at the temple. several of them expressed strong objection on the demolition. A devotee, who does not want to disclose his identity, recalls that a sum of Rs 6000 (which was a substantial sum in 1991) was spent in buying shivlinga and other statues. Senior leaders of the party refused to comment on the matter.
