Former armyman arrested with hand grenades and banned chemicals

Mumbai: Maharashtra Police's anti-terrorism squad arrested an ex-army person, Gulab Rao Ram Rao Sonavne and recovered from him large number of hand grenades, aluminium wires, daggers and banned chemicals. After preliminary inquiries Sonavne disclosed the names of many retired and serving army personnel who are/were associated with terrorism and its network but police refused to tell any thing about more arrests. After the arrest of Col. Purohit who was found complicit in Nanded, Malegaon and Samjhauta Express bomb blasts, proofs of about a dozen retired and serving army officers and others links with terrorists have come to light: Cases of involvement of army personnel in terrorist activities had come to light earlier also but police and army officers had ignored it.
