Police in coastal Kerala have launched a drive against youths wearing low-waist jeans. Circle inspector Shamsudheen has said that a warning has been issued and those found violating would be punished. Shamsudheen further added that these drive was launched after observation that youth wearing low-waist jeans were creating nuisance at public places. Replying to a question about the dress code for the girls, Shamsudheen said that his circle is largely dominated by Muslims and girls here usually wear modest and decent dresses. some schools and colleges at other places banned dress which is not considered modest.
