Dialogue between Islam and Oriental religions

New Delhi: An international dialogue between Islam and eastern faiths will be held in New Delhi during 20-21 February 2010. Religious leaders, thinkers and scholars from South Asia and Arab countries will take part in this first of its kind conference to try to find common ground and work for a better coexistence between believers of various faiths. Vice President of India Hamid Ansari will inaugurate the conference which will provide  a common platform to discuss many crucial issues like Basics of dialogue between Islam and Eastern religions; Shared values between Islam and Eastern religions; Areas of cooperation between Muslims and believers in Eastern religions; Relationship between Muslims and others; Commonality of beliefs and shared ideas between Islam and Eastern religions, their stress on humane and civilised behaviour, tolerance, and important teachings of each religion for coexistence among people and nations.
