Babri martyrdom remembered

Many protests were organised on 6 December across the country against the demolition of the Babri Mosque 20 years ago and the political and judicial delay to solve the issue and penalise the criminals who demolished the historic mosque. One such protest was organised at Jamia Nagar with the initiative of the youth leader Amanatullah Khan. Leaders of milli organisations like the All India Muslim Majlis-e Mushawarat and Jamaate Islami Hind, Lok Janshakti Party as well as local community organisations participated in this protest. Zafarul-Islam Khan of the AIMMM said that such protests are necessary to protect hundreds of other threatened mosques which the communalists brasenly claim to be standing on the sites of temples.

In Lucknow, milli organisations organised a similar protest in whcih Prof. Mustafa Sherwani, INL’s Muhammad Sulaiman and Ulama Council’s Aamir Rashadi participated. Speakers demanded quick justice to the criminals who demolished the mosque despite assurances to the National Integration Council and the Supreme Court of India..
