Union home secretary believes being Muslim is a crime

Is India a secular country?
The following appeared in an interveiw where the top home ministry official links a religion with terrorism. G.K. Pillai, Union Home Secretary told the Week (December 14-20 2009, pp.36-37) while commenting on the ULFA leader  Paresh Baruah:  “Baruah himself is Islamicised. His children do the namaz five times a day. His wife probably dresses as an Assamese when she goes out but follows Islam.”
