Priority to Muslim women: Khurshid

New Delhi: In a meeting with the delegation of All India Democratic Women Association on 28 August, Minister for Minority Affairs Salman Khurshid assured that the Central Government will give priority to Muslims women. The delegation led by Subhashini Ali presented the charter of demand for Muslim Women to the Minister. The memorandum has the signatures of about 75 thousands Muslim women. The demands which have been made by the AIDWA are among the priority list of Government, said Mr. Khurshid. The AIDWA's demands include the equal social, educational and financial rights for Muslims women, schools with hostels in Muslim majority areas, health centres in Muslim localities, increment in scholarships, establishment of ITI, loan facilities for Muslim women and priority for them in jobs.
