Yeh musalmaan jinhen dekh ke sharmaayen yahood

Hyderabad: This is a scene three days before the Amawas Puja ceremony the Thousand Pillar Temple situated at Main Hanamkunda, Warangal. Many Muslim men and women participated in  the ceremony (left). Some Muslim women came in burkha with coconuts in a hand, holding their children with the other. When a Muslim leader asked them: why they are doing such a thing during Ramadan”, they simply said: when Hindus come to our dargahs, why we can’t  come to their mandir? They claimed that they get satisfaction from participating in the puja and regain their health. They even said: if anybody disturbed them, they will call the police.

In another episode, fasting Muslim boys with their skull-caps on were seen at a puja mandap in Motinagar, Hyderabad (right) where they claimed they were going to break their fast. This incident was witnessed on 23 August (Khaja Salahuddin, Warangal).
