Iranian institution to set up Hauza-e Islamia in Kanpur

Kanpur: Maulana Ghulam Raza Mehdawi, a representative of Jamiatul Mustafa, Iran said here while speaking at a Majlis of Ulama held at Shi’a Jama Masjid that promotion of education is an important need of time. He said that there are innumerable sciences in the modern world and Muslims should provide modern as well as religious education to their children. He further said that modern education should be so much that our children should be able to occupy high and key posts. He said that for promoting higher education, his country’s organisation Jaamiatul Mustafa will soon set up a Hauza-e Islamia in Kanpur. He delivered his speech in Persian which was translated by Maulana Arif Husain of Azamgarh. The Majlis was chaired by Maulana Ali Abbas Khan Najafi, City Qazi of Kanpur.
