CBI opposes bail petitions of Malegaon blast accused

New Delhi: Inspite of Swami Aseemanand’s confession about various bomb blasts masterminded by him; the CBI has objected to the bail petitions of the nine accused on the ground that no valid reason for their release was mentioned in their pleas. In a MCOCA court the CBI stated that the petitioners had not mentioned any valid ground for their release and hence their bail pleas should be rejected. It submitted that after obtaining necessary permission of the court it would probe the matter afresh. The CBI has been investigating the case since December 2006.
