NRI Rais Malik signs 300 cr MoU with Gujarat govt.

Ahmedabad: Rais Ahmad Malik of Bharuch (Gujarat) has returned to India after 20 years stay in the Gulf countries to sign a 300 crore MoU with the Gujarat government in the energy sector. He will take over the Connect Power Private Limited at Vadodara and expand it to develop a Rs 4000 crore project of non-conventional energy. The present MoU is the first phase of the programme. The project will generate 600 mega watt of renewable energy within five years. This will also provide jobs to 6000 persons. After his primary education at Bharuch he studied at Surat for his engineering & Smart Energy. He recently had a meeting with the State Chief Minister Narendra Modi alongwith Saudi industrialists Dr. Ali Al-Hamza and Abdul Rehman al Hamrani.
