Muslims visit Kumbh

A delegation of Muslim activists arrived at Kumbh on 29 March. They were warmly welcomed by Shiv Kumar Jha and Sadhvi Gita and stayed in the tent of Maa Shri Pragiyaa of Save Ganga Mission near the bank of Ganga. Within an hour of their arrival, they met with a group of female sants and discussed various social issues. Then they moved on to meet with eminent sadhus and present them a couple of books like Hindu-Muslim Unity, Truth and falsehood, and Shanti path written by Prof VK Tripathi of IIT Delhi. The group discussed various burning issues related to Hindu-Muslim relations in the country. During the next two days they visited various camps of sadhus and met people there. There was such overwhelming response to the literature they offered, that they acutely felt how little literature they carried with them, so much so that some people expressed their anger as they could not get copies.

The group spent a few days in Kumbh visiting, meeting and discussing. On the last day, they met president of All India Sadhu Samaj Shri Sadhu Rushirwananadji’s Chetaniya Joyti Ashram and discussed various burning issues related with Hindu-Muslim unity and the issues currently facing our country. Many people said that  they are very eager to discuss issues with Muslims and they expressed their happiness to find an opportunity to do the same with this group. Ma'a Pragiyaaji's Ashram was very cooperative and she personally took care of the group’s welfare. Swami Rushwiranand of Sadhu Samaj and Maa Pragiya took keen interest in the visit. The group  comprised of Faisal Khan, MH Gandhi, Shah Alam and Sajjad Kargili.
