Dr. Lohia and Communalism
Communalism whether Hindu or Muslim is the greatest menace to Indian secular democracy and Indian composite national culture, but it is most unfortunate that Dr. Ramnohar Lohia the renowned socialist leader and the Godfather and mentor of Mr. Muiayam Singh Yadav the Samajwadi supremo never condemned Hindu communalism as is evident from the fact that when murtis were placed in Babri Masjid in December 49, he did not condemn it or condemn the failure of Pt. Govind Paliab Pant the Chief Minister of U. P. for not removing the murtis from the mosque.

Nothing Irreproachable
Apropos the letter 'Islam and music' (March 16-31). Mr Abul Hasan has taken umbrage at my piece and requested the MG team to refrain from carrying such pieces. Well, Mr Hasan, then what's the role of 'ijtihaad' (questioning) in Islam? It's because of such fast growing religious parochialism, not just Islam but all the faiths are facing criticism from the rationalists, latitudinarians and atheists. What was objectionable in my article? Did I condemn Islam? Why can't we all accept different and well-argued viewpoints of others? So long we believe in extreme sacrosanct treatment of any faith, we can never reach the truth and elevate ourselves to the ultimate level of tolerance and broadmindedness. Remember, no religion is above reproach. Learn to accept the truth with eyes wide open and heart devoid of any prejudice. Mankind still has a long way to evolve itself and become truly secular in the most generous sense of the word.

Justice in Kashmir
If there is even an iota of honesty in the rulers of our country, they must answer whether the masses of Kashmir have got what the masses of Junagadh and Hyderabad have got? If not, why? Is not the ONLY ONE GOD mightier then all rulers?

The Jamaat and the media
The current turmoil in Bangladesh relates to recent pronouncements of its so-called International War crimes Tribunal which is being condemned by Amnesty International, England and other human rights organisations of the world. Jamaat-e-Islami, Bangladesh, is the main target whose 3 top leaders have been convicted for crimes during Bangladesh Liberation war in 1971. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, main opposition Khalida Zia's Bangladesh Nationalist party and other religious parties are agitating against Hasina's Awami League Govt. Due to ignorance or prejudice Jamaat-eIslami Hind is a target. The media gives an impression that the Jamaats of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Jammu and Kashmir are one and the same, hence responsible for each other's activities. Infact just after division of India, Jamaat-e-Islami was parties thee had been no link between these 4 Jamaats. Their leadership, constitutions, politices, programmes are independent and separate. Is it justified to blame Indian Jamaat for the acts of Pakistani, Bangladeshi or J and K Jamaat? If it is so then Muslim League, Communist Party, Jamiat-ul-Ulema should be held responsible for the activities of the parties bearing the same name in Pakistan, Bangladesh etc. Jmaat-eIslami should be judged by its vast literature in various languages, by its constructive, Humanitarian and peaceful policies, programmes and by the character of its members and its 65 years brilliant record of national, social and humanitarian services. The Indian Jamaat should not be judged by the profession and practices of Pakistani or Bangladeshi Jamaat or Jamaat of J and K. This is true in case of other parties also.

Are Muslim journalists on the radar of Intl. agencies?
In courts, intelligence and security agencies could not prove that Mathiur Rahman, a journalist with an English newspaper, was involved in terror activities and Yusuf Nalband too was given clean chit by Bangalore court. After six months, both innocents came out from jail on 26 Feb. Only CNN IBN covered their release while other media avoided the news. Rajdeep Sardesai apoligised for the system’s fault.  On 27 Feb. 2013, Intelligence agencies arrested Delhi-based senior journalist Syed Kazmi who came out free after eight months. Earlier Iftekhar Geelani, a known journalist, was dragged by Intelligence agencies in cooked up case of terror. He wrote a revolutionary book My days in Tihar which opens the eyes of slumbering society. Journalists, writers and hard facts speaking scholars are on the Intelligence radar who speak out against injustices.

Muslims need powerful media
Media plays games in shadow boxing between BJP and Congress at Home Minister's remark that "BJP and RSS promote terrorism". BJP wanted an apology and before the budget session the home minister expressed regrets. Media mischief is expected when Muslim issues come. It is a worldwide phenomenon. Yivonne Ridley, the lady journalist, was prisoner during Taliban regime in Afghanistan. She asked Muslims to have their own media to counter the propaganda against Islam and to spread the true spirit of Islam which peace. MG is striving hard to create awareness among Ummah. Muslim needs own powerful media.

Mushawarat
Mushawarat Hope you are alright. The meeting of central majlis is quite encouraging and timely. It is the dire need that Muslims of India should get united and get their problems solved by themselves. We do face a number of problems which need to be addressed .Some problems we have created ourselves like masalak intolerance. This is quite humiliating that having belief in the basic fundamentals of Islam why should we differ and strain our relations to the extent that separate masalak mosques are constructed where the preachers instead of highlighting the universal teachings of Islam stress on narrow masalak related issues. There should have been a consultative committee of Muslim scholars to forge unity among Muslims .Furthermore the cognizance taken by the majlis to the problems and issues confronting ummah is highly commendable .

Nirbhay Turned Into Nirhbal
It is regrettable that cruise missile project of DRDO has failed incurring a great loss to the poor nation .The first query to the defence minister is what was the need of NIRBHAY in the presence of Brammose Missile .Are we have the courage to make use this missile in the present political crisis .China is much more stronger than us .Its forces have courage to infiltrate in our territory .We are getting back in Laddak, We cannot stop Chinese intervention in Arunachal Pradesh ,We pose mute spectator when China is trying to divert the flow of river Brahmaputra .Pakistan army is so brave that it can behead our two Jawans and hide their heads ,in such circumstances we are badly lacking courage and toughness .Without this character all our sophisticated missiles and nuclear arms are of no use . Without noting this situation the DRDO is moving ahead fast .After the failure of this venture the DRDO is claiming 90% success unilaterally. It should give all the details of expenses .It must be more than hundred crores.. How many scientists took part in completing this project,? What is the probable loss occurred? It is perceived that scientists seems to have close relations with ruling junta .The exorbitant budget might have been released under political pressure .As it was so called indigenous device the scientists of grade one might not have taken the matter seriously. However the defence minister should enquire into the entire incident .I is afraid whether the defense minister has sent any indent for such a missile in the presence of Brahammos missile. The DRDO is a high profile institution the names, qualifications, experience , service and salary should be mentioned before the nation.

Atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh
It was very disappointing to see that the Markazi Majlis (Central Committee) of the All India Muslim Majlis-e Mushawarat (AIMMM)during its last meeting did not condemn the recent atrocious attacks on innocent Hindus in Bangladesh and on Christians in Pakistan. Indian Muslims must speak out against the ill treatment of minorities in Pakistan and Bangladesh. While we too have our complaints against authorities in India, we are much better off than them. We must have empathy for them and we must vociferously demand that their respective governments provide better security for them. We must also remind their religious and political leaders that such abuse of minority communities is totally against Islam.
Ghulam Mohiyuddin, New York USA (via email)
MG: I agree with you that we should have also spoken about the minorities in Pakistan and Bangladesh but somehow we were absorbed by the so-called war crimes trial that we missed this point. In the past we have raised voice for the persecuted minorities in the neighbouring countries. (Zafarul-Islam Khan)

What kind of worship?
God-worship or self-worship? But, in anyway, it is indeed a kind of worship. Some people who dislike to utter the word 'God' due to their pride call it 'nature'. There also are many who worship their feelings se God in any and every thing that can fulfill their need or desire, or give benefit or cause harm, be it clean or dirty and worship them. Among worshippers of innumerable gods and goddesses, some, very strangely, mock their god when (in Gujarati language) they consider God forgetful by saying: "The husband (naath) of Sita, "Raam" (God) did not know what will happen tomorrow" [In exact words : "Na jaaniyu janaki - naathe ke kale shoon thawanu chhe".] They also scold a lazy person by comparing him with god (Dev) : "Mahadevni maafak kem besi rahyo chhe?" [Why are you sitting like the big God (Maha Dev)]!! They bow before Sun, instead of the CREATOR of the Sun!!!

No tough stand is possible by prime minister
In the first outset it was the mistake of the centre to take the case of two Italian marines in its purview .The only perception may be the congress president being an Italian wanted to run the case on low profile basis .The judges could have been influenced to release them on bail .This was the blunder mistake committed by the apex court on behest of congress president .The marines instead of celebrating Charismas the duo managed the Government to support their case .All the European countries give utmost value for their citizens to safeguard their lives .India is the only country which is not so particular about its citizens .Again to caste their votes they got permission from the court .Indian judiciary has lost its credibility .The politician can easily influence the judges get punishment as per their will. Take for example the case of Afzal Guru .He was hanged without the trial in high court or Supreme Court .Is this the justice? , The Italian government followed the same rout ,the marines were given the bail to cast their votes and declined to come back . The case should run in their absence the duo should be given the punishment of gallows .The ban on the envoy should be lifted as the Italians will retaliate in the same manner. In future we should be very much cautious in such cases .We do not have friendly relations with other countries to the extent that we get back the accused from Italy .Let Sonia visit Italy and try her luck .She can bring back the accused with guaranty of life of both marines .Our PM is already a gentle and kind hearted we can expect a tough reaction from him

India's greatest enemy - corruption
Corruption is rampant in society, politics, legislature, executive, media and even in judiciary. Almost all the national and regional political parties are more or less corrupt. Charges of corruption were levelled against their leaders and ministers and cases of corruption are going on against them in courts. Eleven M. P.'s including 6 of B. J. P. were shown on T. V. taking bribe money for raising questions in the House in an sting operation. Both the Houses of Parliament had expelled these corrupt tainted MP's but they did not get stringent punishments. Corrupt people like Sukh Ram, Kalmadi, George Fernandes, Bangaru Laxman, Mayavati, Madhu Koda, A. Raja, Jaylalita, Lalu Prasad, Mulayam Singh, Ydeurappa etc. have been amassing illegal assets and wealth. They should be prosecuted and awarded stringent punishments. Corruption, particularly in high places, will destroy not only democracy and constitution but would endanger India's Unity and integrity. Faith in Almighty GOD and accountability before HIM is also very essential to kill the monster of corruption.

Ajmer sajjadah nasheen
According to the news published in a section of press that Sajjadanashin (Spiritual Head) of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah, Ajmer Syed Zainul Abidin boycotted Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Raja Pervez Ashraf's visit to shrine because Pakistan had not taken actions against its army personnel who beheaded Indian soldiers . The spiritual head's decisionis against the ethos of Islam and Indian culture . He has taken pro Hindu stand just to remain in good books of Hindus . Why was he silent while thousands of Muslims were killed in Gujarat, Assam , U P and other parts of the country in the very presence of law enforcing machinery and bureaucracy during anti-Muslim riots ? Why was he silent when Atal Bihari Vajapayee , the then Prime Minister of India sent a Chadar to the holy Mazar of Khwaja Saheb whose party members' hands are soaked with the blood of Muslims ? It seems that Sajjadanashin is an opportunist and selfish . I strongly condemn the Sajjadanashin for his anti-Muslim and pro-Hindu statement .

Controll of Human Mind
An animal mostly possesses its head, heart, stomach and sexual organs in the same order horizontally, whereas man's head, heart stomach and sexual organs are aligned vertically. Pondering over this leads to the psychological conclusion that man has the power to control sexual desire, hunger, and emotions through the use of the intellect that sits right up the top, being the head of the organization of the complex body. Well, it is not scientifically proved but it is a philosophy of my own. I may not be a scientist but I am a saint and I love to spread the light of Islam in my own way.

Atal Behari Bajpai - a Statesman?
It has now become a fashion for our printed media to project their favourite political leaders or social activists who have nothing in common with our illustrious national leaders and distinguished social reformers. For instance Anna Hazare who has nothing in common with the Father of the Nation as second Gandhi. Now in the debate over the abilities of Mr. Narendra Modi the Chief Minister of Gujarat under whose guidance the genocide of Muslims had taken place in Gujarat in 2002 as a BJP candidate for Prime Ministership, Mr. Atal Behari Bajpai has been described as a statesman. Protagonists of Mr. Bajpai conveniently forget that the basic distinctive quality of statesman is that he should keep national interest over and above his party or other interests. Mr. Bajpai's devotion to Hindu chauvanism i. e. total agreement with the RSS ideology and lack of political foresight which is a indispensable quality of a statesman, denies him a place among statesmen.

Terror politics
On 26 Feb., home ministry got flak in parliament for flawed terror probes in which innocent Muslims had to spend years behind bars. RPN Singh, M. O. S., replied saying, "no such data is centrally maintained as law and order and prisoners are state matter”.  In the same breath he said that nine people (he avoided to tellthey were Muslims) had been released in 2006 Malegaon blasat case after spending six years in jail. The protest and hai hai noise in Parliament and visuals reaching public forced Mr. Singh to grab the occasion to take mileage. He responded that the law did not discriminate on the basis of colour or religion. It was unfortunate, replying CPM Basudeb Acharya objected. If parliament doesn't have data then expecting justice is shear futile. But concerned Muslims are compiling the data of injustices in the shape of "The White Paper on Terror". The former iron man Advani rode blood soaked rath yatra and demolish the historical Babri Masjid but later called it sad day obliquely expressing some regret to please  European delegates. The British PM David Cameron also expressed regret for the killing of innocents in Jalianwala Bagh in 1919. These words are frivolous as acts were  knowingly committed and now these people want to become great by simply uttering few such meaningless words.

What will be the answer?
If the devil in human form alleges that by baring her bosoms and swinging her waist voluptuously, the raped and killed damsel had challenged his manhood, what will be the answer of the honourable women's world?

For Indian Muslims to think over
Dear Indian Muslims!
1. The only political agenda on which you work is to defeat B. J. P. which, according to the so-called fictitious secular parties, will keep you secure from the onslaught of fascist forces.
2. However, you have always forgot that it is the only B. J. P. and its ideology for which you vote, but through brokers, which are sometimes in the form of your own nefarious 'ulema' or the hypocritical champions of secularism. Chandra Babu Naidu, Nitish Kumar, Ram Vilas Paswan, Mayawati and countless individuals are the examples.
3. Now even the so-called 'Mulla Mulayam Singh' is heaping praises on B. J. P. and declaring that ' Advani always speaks truth'.
4. Congress, the only option for you in the coming Parliamentary elections, is struggling hard to overpower B. J. P. in playing the 'Hindutwa card', and is manifesting the worst sort of anti- Muslim policies.
5. Your ' maulvis' have started their usual pre-election business of bargaining your vote with different political parties , and the exchange money is in the process of being negotiated.
6. And you like buffoons still busy in thinking as how to defeat B. J. P.
