CBI to quiz Sadhvi, Purohit in Malegoan case

CBI is planning to interrogate members of the Hindu right wing group and those arrested in connection with the Malegoan blast. CBI is also likely to quiz Sadhvi, Purohit and Mutalik arrested in connection with the Malegoan blast case. CBI plans to question them on the basis of confession made by Swami Assemanand. In yet another similar development, a MCOCA court will hear bail application of nine accused arrested by the Maharashtra ATS earlier for the Malegoan blast.

Earlier the CBI opposed their bail plea but now according to the the CBI counsel it is unlikely to oppose their plea. Along with Pragya, Purohit and Mutalik, the CBI is also likely to grill Rakesh Dhawde, Ajay Rahirkar, Shivnarayan Kalsangra, Shyam Sahu, retired army official Ramesh Upadhyay, Sameer Kulkarni, Jagdish Mhatre, Dayanand Pandey and Sudhakar Chaturvedi in the case.

These people were arrested in connection with the Malegoan blast by the ATS and have been booked under various sections of the IPC, MCOCA, Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, Arms Act and Explosive Substances Act. A team led by joint director Mr Kandaswamy is on a visit to Malegoan city to examine all forensic evidences collected earlier by the ATS.
