New Delhi: Maulana Mufti Mohammad Mukaram, Imam of Shahi Masjid Fatehpuri, hitting at the government's double standards in banning the communal organizations said on 8 May that on the one hand we are against terrorism and we are in favour of toughest punishments to terrorists. But we condemn the biased approach which the government is adopting being soft on some and hard on others. In a press release issued by the Shahi Imam, he said that despite all evidences before us, the government is not taking any step in banning the communal organizations. Maulana Mukaram said that when the name of Muslim organizations surfaces the government without wasting anytime prepares a file but against communal organisations like Abhinav Bharat, Jay Vande Matram, Jan Kalyan Sena, Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarti Sena and Bajrang Dal no action is taken. While condemning the recent incident of a burqa-clad woman at an airport he said that two days before when a Muslim woman, who was taken off the Spicejet flight despite the fact that she had completed all formalities of security and airport procedures is an indication of a communal mindset which has gripped this country tightly.
