Islamic Exhibition in Azamgarh

Azamgarh: Muslim Womens’ Forum Azamgrh organised an Islamic exhibition on 21-22 May 2010 in Shibli National Girls School here. Islamic Educational and Research Organization (IERO) of Allahabad had brought material and staff from Allahabad to spread the knowledge of Quranic teachings through beautiful models and posters. Dr. Javed Akhtar, President AWMELA inaugurated the exhibition. Girl volunteers explained the importance of understanding Quran instead of just venerating it. For this they used various verses through displayed models. IERO, Zeyaus Shams, runs ‘Taqwa Islamic School’ in Allahabad. This School endevours to impart modern education in an Islamic atmosphere. The medium of instruction is English and Arabic, while Urdu and Hindi are compulsory languages. Women along with children showed great interest in visiting the Islamic exhibition. (Salman Sultan)
