First instalment released to Khwaja University; admissions open to 16 subjects

Lucknow: Vice Chancellor of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Urdu, Arabic & Persian University, Dr Anees Ansari said that the University Grants Commission had released an amount of Rs 2.5 crores (Rs 25 million) for the building of a Library and Computer Centre.

He also said that under the consolidated assistance scheme, UGC had sanctioned Rs 5 crores in November 2011. On another occasion he said that from 15 July (2013) teaching of  16 subjects would be started in the University. He said that this decision was taken in a joint meeting of University administration, Nirman Nigam (Building Corporation) and teachers.

He said that the subjects which will be taught from the next session are Urdu, Arabic, Persian, Hindi. English, Home Science, Geography, Political Science, Economics, History, Physical Education, Commerce, B.Ed, MBA, Mass Communication, journalism and computer application. He further said that the prospectus, admission forms etc could be downloaded from the University’s website www.uafulucknow.ac.in or can be obtained from Corporation Bank from the 25 of May till 24 June.
