Keep an eye on Narmada Kumbh: Digvijay

New Delhi: Reminding the home ministry of “Shabri Mahakumbh” and its terrorism fall out in the form of bomb blasts; Digvijay Singh, general secretary of AICC, alerted the home ministry of the repercussions of the proposed “Ma Narmada Samajik Kumbh” on which the Madhya Pradesh government intend to spend 100 crores, speaking at the book release function of the book, “Christianity, Hindutva, conversion: FAQs” by Fr Dominic Emmanuel.

He expressed his concern by saying, “the disinformation campaign by organisations like the RSS and VHP is worrying us in Delhi.” John Dayal, member of the National Integration Council, who returned recently from Nandla (the site of the proposed kumbh) feared a Kandhamal – like backlash against the Christians there, where “not an iota of faith but a vicious hate campaign is driving the kumbh.”

CPI national secretary, D. Raja, feared that if fascism was to emerge in India, it would come from majority communalism. Fr Dominique claimed that his book was an attempt to shed misgivings about Christianity, and intends to fight disinformation.
