Educational Conference in Vaniyambadi

Vaniyambadi (Tamil Nadu): The Vaniyambadi Muslim Educational (VME) Society held a two-day counseling session on 28-29 June. The counselor was Dr. Ali Khawjah and his team from Banjara Academy, Bangalore. It was well-planned event to cater to the needs of the students, teachers and parents of all the institutions run by VME society.  On day one, the first session was scheduled for the students of Secondary and Higher Sec. grade students at Islamiah Boys Higher Secondary School, Dr. Khwaja emphasized on Study Techniques, Building Emotional Intelligence and Understanding stress, the session was followed by Q & A interacted by Ms. Asha. The second session was scheduled for Girl students and was conducted in the same manner which took place at Islamiah Girls Higher Secondary School.

"If you want to teach Maths to a child, it is necessary that you have to learn not only Maths but also learn about the child you are teaching Maths" said Dr Ali Khwaja, interacting with the teachers at the third session at Islamiah College. The half-day session was followed by presentations on Teaching vs. Learning, Work life balance, Motivation, Understanding children and child behavior and discipline etc.

On the second day morning, the fourth and fifth sessions were held for the final year students from Islamiah Boys College and Islamiah Womens College venue at respective campuses. The students were induced on Motivation, Goal setting and Career choice, EQ and Life skills. In the afternoon session, both the counselors addressed the parents of High School students on Motivation and Understanding Kids. There were considerable number of women in this session and Ms. Asha had an interactive session with them. More than 40 books authored by Dr. Ali on various aspects of child psychology, adolescent issues, goal setting and career choice, etc. were also on display for sale during all sessions.
