RSS rejects trousers as dress code

Except some minor changes the dress code of the Sangh activists is likely to remain the same. The demand from some activists for trousers as dress code along with half shorts has been rejected by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The practice of putting leather belt has been replaced with belts made from thick clothes and the buckles will be of steel rather than copper. Leather belt was replaced as some members from Jain community were opposed to it. In the year 1940 the khaki shirt was replaced by white one. In 1947 long boot was replaced by black shoes.
