114 terrorists killed in six months in Kashmir

New Delhi: Union minister of state Ajay Makan said in a written reply to Rashid Alvi’s question in Rajya Sabha that by the end of June this year, 254 incidents of violence took place in the state (J&K) in which 20 civilians and 34 security personnel were killed. During this period, 114 terrorists were also killed. He said that in North-eastern region 397 cases of violence took place upto 15 July in which 4 security personnel, 44 civilians and 160 terrorists were killed. He further said that in the year 2009 no big incident of terrorist attack took place in the country. On 13 February this year A bomb blast in Pune had taken place in which 17 persons were killed.
