Book on Kashmir history released

Srinagar: Flash Back-Kashmir Story since 1846 by noted journalist and human right activist, Zahir-ud-Din was released here, June 2. A compilation of 100 selected stories, the book, the author hopes shall give readers a feel of people’s version of Kashmir’s history.

Introducing the book, the author said Kashmir’s history has been doctored and distorted by vested interests. He stated that he has relied on eyewitness accounts, personal diaries of political workers and unpublished biographies. “Most of the stories in the book shall go as foot notes in main book on Kashmir history I am working on.”The book was released by a group of students.   (Afsana Rashid)
