Army training women for arms in J&K

Srinagar: In Jammu & Kashmir women also are being trained in handling guns and other arms so that they may be able to protect the honour and life of themselves and their family members. Their training has been started by the army in the upper parts and border areas of the state under which many women have already been trained till date. According to available information, a training camp has been opened by the army in Rajouri district of the state where such training in arms is being imparted. One of such women, Aaisha Parveen told media persons that now she considers herself safe and can face any kind of danger. Another woman, Rukhsana who was awarded ‘Kirti Chakra’ for bravery said that now women in large number are coming up for such training and many of them have already been trained for handling guns and other arms.
