22 accused of Mumbai blast acquitted by TADA court

Porbunder: A TADA court acquitted Maulana Abdus Sattar and 21 other accused persons for want of evidence. These persons were accused of hoarding RDX used in Mumbai blasts (1993) which had claimed 275 lives. The prosecution accused them of receiving 30 boxes of RDX, 45 rifles and 20 guns from Pakistan on the night of 8 January, 1993. The Special Court magistrate SR Goswami honorably acquitted them for want of convincing evidence. Out of the 22 five have already expired.
