Amit in tight corner over Tulsi encounter

New Delhi: The CBI has approached the Supreme Court for permission to conduct enquiry in Tulsiram Prajapat’s encounter who was the key-witness in the Sohrabudin Sheikh fake encounter. The agency suspects that Narendra Modi’s close associate Amit Shah played a crucial role in Tulsiram Prajapati’s murder.

Fearing that Sohrabuddin Sheikh’s fake encounter might envelope many political bigwigs when exposed both Kausarbi and Tulsiram were eliminated to destroy all evidence from the two key-witnesses. The CBI has scrutinised the call details of the former home minister from 20 December to 31 December 2006. This leads them to suspect that his was a very crucial role in the said encounter.
In the final status report submitted to the apex court the CBI has submitted that the senior IPS officer Rajkumar Pandiyan and Amit Shah had 16 telephonic conversations prior to Tulsiram’s encounter on 28 December. The phone calls were unusual and were not official ones. It is pointed out that according to protocol home minister is supposed to speak to home secretary only and he is not expected to speak to an officer of Superintendent’s rank. Hence in order to reach to the real truth in the matter an investigation by CBI must be conducted failing which the mastermind would escape scot free.
