Shabri Dham turned tribals into beggars

Shabridham: Amitabh Bachchan, the brand ambassador of Gujarat might claim that Gujarat has taken a giant leap towards development, yet ground facts are totally different. The highly acclaimed Shabridham and its adjoining Pampa Sarovar have become tourist resorts where people rush on weekends. The state government has made it a part of its tourism development project, however, the tribal children, who for centuries have lived with dignity, are seen begging at the stairs of the Shabridham temple. It is alleged that they (the tribals) are denied access to the temple. Similarly, at the Pampa Sarovar also school children escape from their classes and gather at the pond for collecting alms from passing vehicles. Even local people feel sorry for this "vibrant Gujarat" which neither Tata sees nor does Ambani.
