CBI to probe Mecca, Ajmer blast link

CBI during its investigations has come to know that the same set of documents were used for buying a set of SIM cards of which a few were later on used to carry out Mecca Masjid and Ajmer blasts. According to CBI, the identity of those involved in the two blasts has also been ascertained. Swami Aseemanand during his interrogation has told that the same documents were used to buy 11 SIM cards from Asansol and Chittaranjan in West Bengal and Jamtara in Jharkhand. And out of these, two were used to trigger blasts in Mecca Masjid and Ajmer. CBI has sent seven teams to Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat to arrest at least 50 persons involved in the two blasts on the basis of the interrogation of Aseemanand. Some important persons like Ramnarayan Salnaskar, Sandeep Dange, Pranav Nath Mandal, Anand Raj Katariya and Dharmendra Baragi are also believed to be involved in these two blasts and are wanted by the CBI. Investigators are also trying to find out the identities of the individuals who were contacted by the SIM bearing number 9732110207, which was recovered from the Ajmer blast site.
