Protest for Muslim victims of terrorism

Mumbai: More than 40 Muslim organisations held a protest and public meeting at Azad Maidan here in wake of Swamy Aseemanad’s statement in front of a Delhi judge owning up responsibility for Malegaon 2008 and other bomb blasts. More than 75 Muslims youths have been arrested by the Mumbai Anti-Terrerist Squad (ATS) and are languishing in Malegaon Jail on account of the 2008 blast alone. Speakers demanded immediately release by withdrawing all cases against Muslim youths as there is no justification to keep them behind bars after Swami Asimanad’s statement. The protest meeting passed the following resolutions: 1) A ban by the central govt on RSS and its sister organisations like Abhinav Bharat; 2) Impartial inquiry by CBI or NIA into the Aurangabad ammunition recovery case and Mumbai Train Blasts; 3) Strict action against ATS officers, including booking them in criminal cases for their role in falsely implicating Muslim youths in terror cases, 4) Impartial inquiry in the murder of Sunil Joshi, the mastermind of all blasts of RSS outfits.

Kaleem is second from right
