APCT's Socio-Legal training workshop at Ranchi

Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR) held a training work in Ranchi (Jharkhand) on 25-26 January 2014 in which 65 selected participants took part from different districts of Jharkhand.

Issues dealt with during the workshop included Defending civil rights - an Islamic perspective, protection of civil rights and establishment of justice in India, understanding criminal justice system in India, FIR, investigation and arrest, Case and its persuasion by the civil rights activist, illegal detention - tools you should use, what is documentation and how it should be done, defending civil rights while dealing with a terror case, using RTI Act-2005 while defending civil rights, approaching govt human rights bodies, NHRC, NCM, NCPCR etc.
