Meeladun Nabi prog in Kannur

More than 7,000 people from across the world gathered for a six-hour event of Meeladun Nabi organised by Al-Mashoor Foundation for Prophetic Legacy in the Town Square of Kannur  on 17 January. Sayid Athaulla Thangal, qadi of Manjeswaram  opened the Meeladun Nabi International Conference". Representative of Govt. of Dubai, Shaikh Abdul Rahman Al-Jarrar, Religious Advisor to Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs of Dubai was the chief guest. Chairman of Al-Mashoor Foundation and the spiritual leader of Kannur district, Sayyid Aslam Al-Mashoor Thangal, delivered the presidential speech. He it is very important to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) because he is mercy to everybody, whether you know it or don't know it. Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Jarrar said that he is very impressed to see that various areas of Kannur city  are decked up for the occasion with green flags, huge banners, processions by youngsters on motorbikes holding green flags in large numbers, Madrasa students, public meetings in various schools and colleges, illuminated localities of Muslims spruced up for the Meeladunnabi. All this shows how much respect and love to the Prophet the people of Kerala have.Swamy Premanantha, the Chief priest of Shiva Ghiri Madem, spoke about Prophet Mohammad's  teachings and contributions towards humanity.
