VHP against division of disputed land
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad passed a resolution at a meet of its Central Advisory Committee on 7 February in Allahabad against the trifurcation of the disputed land by the Allahabad High Court as unacceptable.
According to the resolution, “The High Court’s ruling to trifurcate the sacred piece of land and to hand over a third of it to Muslims is totally unacceptable.” It was also decided during the meet that the VHP would not allow construction of any new mosque in Ayodhya and also Mosques named after Babar anywhere in India.
VHP also stressed that the model of the Ram Mandir prepared in 1989 at Prayag in the presence of Dewraha Baba was acceptable to all Sadhus and Sants of India. The resolution also said. “Similarly, Muslim leaders too had said they would forego their claim to the Ramjanmabhoomi if it was proved that a mosque was built after demolishing a Hindu place of worship. The community now has a unique opportunity to improve its ties with Hindus.”
