Congress reduced Muslims to drivers, cleaners and scrap dealers: Gadkari

Raipur: In an attempt to attract ten percent voters to its favour, the BJP president Nitin Gadkari began a countrywide campaign. Holding Congress responsible for Muslim backwardness, Gadkari accused the party of reducing Muslims to a community of drivers, cleaners or scrap dealers during its long tenure in office. He added that BJP was not against Muslims. It is a Congress propaganda. BJP, in fact, is against terror. Addressing a state-level convention at Raipur, Gadkari declared that Congress treated Muslims as votebank whereas BJP gives them respect and honour. He recalled that it was during the BJP rule that eminent scientist APJ Abul Kalam assumed the office of the President of India. Reminding the audience, he informed that a college established by him for the welfare of Muslims produced 6000 Muslim girl engineers. (Gujarat Today, 8 Sept. 2010)
