"Sachar Ki Sifarishein"

This is a book written in simple Hindi is riveting account of the present socio-economic and education condition of Indian Muslims. Civil engineer from IIT-Kanpur and a 1997-batch IPS officer of Maharashtra cadre, currently serving in Pune Abdur Rahman, has courageously highlighted the finds of Sachar Committee Report of negligible presence of Muslims in Indian political firmament and stressed the urgent need to make them a part of the mainstream society. The book is a compendium on Sachar Committee report which studied the 'Social, Economic and Educational Status of the Indian Muslim community.

Presenting the backwardness of the community in different fields of social endeavour in a language best suited for public consumption, the author puts forward the key areas which need urgent attention of the government to ameliorate the condition of Muslims.

The author has been quite emphatic when asked about his objective behind bringing the book in Hindi language. "My aim is to make each and every stakeholder of the government and citizen aware about the report in Hindi which is the national language and understood by the common man. The travails of the community can be addressed if bolders steps are taken for the educational and social empowerment of the community ," he said.
